What Paddock is

Paddock archives official publications, reads the reported trades out of the original documents and makes them searchable. The public pages are free to use and need no account.

What is shown here is information, not investment advice, not investment brokerage and not a recommendation to buy or sell. A reported transaction says nothing about future prices. Decisions are yours alone.

Where the figures come from, and their limits

• The only source is what the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives publishes. Every row links to its original document.
• Amounts are brackets, not figures. Where we total them, we total the midpoints of those brackets, and every total says so. Trades above 50 million dollars have no upper bound and enter no total.
• The filings contain their authors’ own mistakes. One member printed 1935 as the notification date on 18 rows. We store the document as it is and only clamp such outliers in the aggregates.
• Part of the archive consists of scanned paper pages with no text layer. Their trades cannot be listed. The pages say so wherever it applies, instead of hiding the gap.
• The public lists show the last twelve months. An individual filing’s page stays reachable indefinitely.

No market data

No prices are shown on the public pages. Market data is licensed in a way that forbids passing it on to third parties; it appears only in the signed-in area and may not be redistributed from there.

Fair use of the service

These pages are meant to be read. Automated bulk retrieval, circumventing access limits and attempts to disrupt operation are not permitted. Requests are limited per address. Anyone needing the data at scale should write to us; it comes from a public source that anyone may fetch themselves.

Accounts

An account is personal. Credentials may not be shared. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

Liability

The readings are made carefully but without warranty as to accuracy, completeness or continuous availability. Where our presentation and the original document disagree, the original document governs. Liability is otherwise as provided by law.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the version published at the time of use applies. German law governs.
